Windermere is a town in Florida. Located in the Orange County, Windermere falls in the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was developed as a residential area back in 1889. It was chartered in 1925.
The motto of Windermere, FL, is "Among The Lakes". The town‘s coordinates are 28°29′48″N 81°32′2″W. It has a total area of 1.57 square miles of which about 0.02 square mile is water and 1.56 square miles is land. It has an elevation of 37 meters or 121 feet.
As on 2010, the population was 2,462 but since then the population has grown to more than 3,100, as recorded in 2013. Since 2000, the population of the town has increased by 64%.
